We’ve had a great experience here since our kids arrived in August!! We switched daycare facilities to be closer to home, and I was nervous about the transition but the BHLH staff made it as easy as could be. They’re super communicative, take great care of our kids, and our kids have made great friends.
Big Hearts has provided a consistently positive childcare experience for our family. The level of care and attention shown to each child is evident and it gives us great confidence knowing our child is in a supportive and nurturing environment.

I have kids that attend here and I love it here at Big Heart Little Hands. Such an awesome learning center.
This daycare is amazing! The staff are so kind, cheerful, and caring. My daughter is happier, laughing, and playing more since she started here. The place is always clean and smells fresh. I also love how they send me photos and videos to keep me updated — it makes me feel safe and comfortable leaving her with them.
Just moved to Ohio in July, and was looking for place near the house for my daughter, and came across this center. Staff here is very friendly and welcoming, especially Tia, who she helped with all the questions, and concerns that I had. Jiahna became so attached to her teachers in her class, and she loves all her friends as well, as a parent j seen so many improvements with Jiahna social skills, and learning abilities. I love how this center is well organized with carpet time to learn their days of the weeks song, and counting numbers and ect. The classroom are always clean when I get there it’s always mopped! The teachers there not only do their jobs, but really take their time and care for each individual’s in the classroom needs. I will definitely recommend to friends and families.
We love Big Hearts Little Hands. My 5 y/o special needs son has been attending this day care since he was 3. We had a bad experience at a different Powell daycare and were so happy that BHLH had an opening and had experience with child on IEPs. They have been accommodating to our son’s ongoing needs with his speech delay, intellectual disability and autism. They keep us updated throughout the day with pictures and give us feedback on our son’s progress or any issues they notice. They provide breakfast and lunch, plenty of outside time and structured activities. Highly recommend!
Our family spent several years with this daycare, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about the experience. The staff became like an extension of our family — always kind, patient, and genuinely invested in each child’s growth. Big Hearts Little Hands is the first and only daycare we’ve had our kids at! We looked at a few places and this one was the most homey, comfortable but also had a structure and focus on learning.
Our children have been thriving there, happily running into the building everyday, and have made best friends with other kids growing up there too. The leadership is incredibly communicative, responsive, and without a doubt has our children’s safety and best interests in mind always. BHLH is a second home to our daughter and we love it. This is our second child here. The directors and teachers really care for the children and their development. Safety and a good educational are very important to us. At BHLH, not only do they have an exceptional curriculum, but they keep us informed every day through the app (photo included).

What matters most to my husband and I in childcare is safety, communication, and knowing our child is genuinely cared for. Big Hands Little Hearts has given us all of that. The staff is warm, attentive, and great at keeping us updated, and our child comes home happy every day. It’s clear they put real love and intention into what they do. Highly recommend to any family looking for trustworthy, nurturing care.
All 3 of our kids are attending BHLH since 2021 and I highly recommend for anyone seeking reliable childcare. Some of the teachers have been there for a very long time and I trust my kids are loved and cared for. The app is great for receiving daily updates and photos of what the kids are doing. The directors check in regularly and have great communication with parents.
We have been attending since 2023 and currently have 2 children enrolled. We like the lesson plans they use, the kids come home every day having learned something new. The best thing I can say is that I trust my kids with these people. The staff is great and they care about the kids.
Our two kids have been going to big hearts for about the past two years, and I cannot say enough about how great our experience has been. The staff there are all extremely warm, engaged, and committed to the education and development of the kids, not just providing supervision. Their educational philosophy is sound, holistic, and individualized to each child’s needs. Our kids have developed such wonderful relationships with several of their teachers that they consider them part of the family. One of the things I like most is that the environment is not overly strict or rigid, and the kids are allowed to be kids. After spending long days in school and being subject to so much structure in their lives and time away from home, I really appreciate that they are given the freedom to just have fun and be creative during their childcare time. Moreover, they are extremely organized and efficient from an administrative standpoint and wonderful at communicating with parents. Compared to prior daycare experiences, the number of center closings for administrative or staffing issues resulting in us needing to make other childcare arrangements is extremely low, essentially limited to major holidays and maybe one or two in-service days per year. They also provide food at minimal cost, and are flexible about attendance from day today, making scheduling and getting the kids ready in the morning a lot less stressful for us. In summary, finding big hearts has been a huge blessing for our kids and for us as busy parents and I would highly encourage anyone in the area to come check them out for their own family!
We’ve been at BHLH for about four months with our 15 mth old and 3 yr old. We’ve really loved our experience and how the center is ran. Teachers are very communicative and have made each transition easy for our family. We love how our preschooler has become more talkative about his daily activities and how our toddler has grown socially with her teachers!!

We’ve had our kids at Big Hearts Little Hands in Powell for about a year and a half now, and I can honestly say it’s the best daycare we’ve ever been part of. We came from a rough experience at another center, and they were able to get us in here within a week — total lifesaver.
All of the teachers are fun, energetic, and actually take the time to talk with every parent. They’re so friendly and genuinely love the kids — hugging them, playing with them, comforting them, even telling them they love them. You can just feel how much they care.

We've had nothing short of a wonderful experience with Big Hearts in the 1.5 years we've had children attending! Both of our children joined as toddlers and warmed up quickly, and clearly adore their teachers. Communication is great, and we get frequent updates on, and pictures of both kiddos throughout the day. Both of them come home with new skills and knowledge daily, and the community spirit is clear whenever we come in and all the staff and teachers know our children by name. Fun events, classroom parties, bookfairs, and theme weeks are just the cherry on top!

They created a nurturing environment with teachers that we trusted. The directors are phenomenal and always maintained open communication with us. I’ve have had 2 kids attend this center in the past 7 years. A lot has changed in that time and I am happy to say that big hearts is always looking for new ways to evolve or improve the center. It’s a place where everyone knows your child’s name.
There are so many wonderful things to say about Big Hearts Little Hands! Our son started as a baby and stayed through school age. Each class had a special teacher and a thoughtful, age-appropriate curriculum. The staff truly care about the children and create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment every day. We always felt confident that our son was in great hands, learning, growing, and having fun. It’s more than just a daycare—it’s a community that feels like family. We’re so grateful for the love and guidance they’ve given him over the years!
BHLH took our children in with loving arms, immediately everyone in the center knew who my kids were, not just the caregivers that spent time with my kids. It gave me a great comfort to know the whole center has my children's best interests at heart. Staff go above and beyond to make sure my kids have what they need and are not only comfortable, but ready to thrive as well. So happy with the decision to move our kids to this care center!
If I could give this school 0 stars I absolutely would. The amount of sketchy things that happens behind the scenes of this environment are mind blowing. Kids are constantly being left unsupervised by teachers. The inconsistency in the classrooms are also not ideal for a child’s learning environment. The directors will constantly move kids to other rooms, there are almost never constant teachers in each room. (There is a reason why they have a hard time keeping their teachers.) When teachers are over in ratio (because of their short staffing issues) they will take however many kids they need and move them to another room every day or sit them in the office or the hallways which restricts learning. Then proceed to sit them on the ground and give them books and make a Facebook post about it making it seem “fun” when in reality your child is missing out on activities or even free play. Teachers are constantly having to take kids on “walks” to get to needed supplies they need throughout the day without anything such as an iPad or even a piece of paper to take attendance of each kid. This is how children get lost and forgotten. I do not recommend anyone taking their children to Big Hearts Little Hands. Everything that goes on there is totally irresponsible and not reliable for our children.
We have been at Big Hearts Little Hands for just over 3 years, starting with our daughter then our son after he was born. We love the nurturing environment and family-like feel of the directors and staff. Every teacher seems to have a personal relationship with each of our kids and call them by name, which is really comforting as a parent. We are always amazed at the things our kids can do at such a young age based on what they learn while at school.

Big hearts has been wonderful for our two kids! I love how many activities they do with and the educational curriculum. They have very limited closures, which is great for working parents! Our kids are very happy.
Our 3 kiddos attend this center and it has been such a great experience. Through the childcare challenges of covid & moving, our kids have had to attend a few centers, and in comparison, this center is miles above others! I am especially so thankful for the great staff communication- BHLH really rocks at this! They are always quick to communicate the good, the bad, and everything in between. And they are always very quick to respond. They have been so flexible with us as needed and always make things as easy on us and our kiddos as they can. It's also so helpful that all meals and wipes are provided. Life is busy with three littles, so it's really nice to not have to worry about those things.
We've been sending our first son here for almost three years, and now our second son is enrolled as well. The teachers are incredible—each one treats our children as if they were their own, providing such a warm and nurturing environment. We always feel confident knowing that our kids are being well taken care of and are happy, learning, and thriving every day. Love the staffs, families and everything here. We had experiences with other childcares and nothing can compare to Big heart! My kids are happy and well cared here. Cost is very reasonable and they offer extra activities for kids all the time!
Owner and Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating throughout my son's entire stay here. He loved and looked forward to coming here everyday. Highly recommend to parents in the Powell area.
My son has been attending Big Hearts Little Hands for over 2 years and we are sending our newborn daughter in January. We have had a wonderful experience so far. We have recommended this center to friends looking for childcare. Our son has learned so many things from sign language to Spanish. He always impresses us with things he learns and does at school. We love the new app that was implemented when the new management took over. It allows us to see pictures and updates of what he is doing all day. We are glad we chose Big Hearts Little Hands!
My son has been enrolled at BHLH since he was 3 months old, and we have had nothing but a positive experience with the center! He’s 13 months old now and he lights up when he walks in every day, smiles at every person he sees and it’s clear how well loved and cared for he is by all the teachers and staff. I’ve also had nothing but exceptional communication from the directors and have seen some great improvements since the center was acquired by the early bird edu group, specifically in regards to communication, community involvement and technical advancements. I can honestly say this center is my son’s second home, and the staff there are his second family. We love BHLH!

BHLH has been a great experience for our family. Close to home and convenient hours. Friendly and accommodating staff. Our son loves to attend this school, fondly admires his teacher, and has had robust development since the start of his attendance. Looking forward to sending our daughter too.
Our son has been at Big Hearts since he was 8 weeks old. He will be 4 soon. The teachers/directors have taken great care to get to know him and our whole family. He has grown so much in thanks to his wonderful teachers! I recommend Big Hearts Little Hands to anyone who asks for daycare suggestions regardless of where they live in the area.
I joined Big Hearts in the beginning of February this year along with my son. Since being here, I’ve seen my son (now 15 months old) learn so much and show incredible improvements from where he was before. I also love knowing that my son is in good hands with an amazing staff that helps in every way possible and goes over and beyond. All the teachers are great educators and love what they do. The kids see us as teachers but also as a part of their family which is one of the best rewards of doing what we do.

My children have gone to big hearts little hands for almost 3 years now and I am very happy with the services they have provided. My oldest has been going there since he was 3 and is more than prepared for kindergarten thanks to them. All the teachers my children have had have been amazing and I know they are all passionate about being educators. My children have adored all their teachers as a matter of fact it’s hard moving my daughter up every year bc she gets so attached to her teachers (she didn’t want to leave ms shawnas room and then moved up to ms shirleys room and then didn’t want to leave her). It’s a very hard thing being a full time working mom, big hearts little hands help relieve that guilt because I know my children are in an environment that they are loved, they are safe, and they are learning a lot. I know I picked the right child care because my kids look forward to going to school and love seeing all their teachers along with ms. Kaitie and ms. Tia.
We began looking for a new daycare center right before the pandemic hit. We visited Big Hearts Little Hands one month before the shutdown but knew we wanted to move our daughter there (and eventually have our son with whom I was pregnant at the time) once things opened back up. We have been there ever since. We love that they transported our daughter to and from school. It is far more reasonably priced than anything around. For our family, it is conveniently located. We will continue to send our children to Big Hearts Little Hands until our children no longer require daycare.

I’ve been a BIG HEART’S LITTLE HANDS parent for the last two years and I just want to let all the other parents out there who have worries and questions about where your children are during our busy schedules. I want to assure you that BIG HEART’S LITTLE HANDS is the proper place to be. The location is beautiful, the remodel is amazing, the teachers are wonderful beyond words could ever express. I feel the genuine love that my children need when their not in my presence and to me that’s worth more than GOLD.
I’d recommend this “Home away from home” to any and everyone even if it’s out of their way. Nothing is worth more then my children’s happiness and well being.

I’m planning on staying here throughout the duration of my youngest children’s growth due to the amazing teachers who genuinely love and adore my babies much as I do.
I haven’t seen much turn around and that in itself means so much, because the teachers know my babies just as much as I do and who wouldn’t love that. Thank you ladies for all that you do daily for myself and my family, I couldn’t ask for a greater support system for my family and continuing to help grow my children’s loving minds. You are appreciated endlessly.
I’ve been a BIG HEART’S LITTLE HANDS parent for the last two years and I just want to let all the other parents out there who have worries and questions about where your children are during our busy schedules. I want to assure you that BIG HEART’S LITTLE HANDS is the proper place to be. The location is beautiful, the remodel is amazing, the teachers are wonderful beyond words could ever express. I feel the genuine love that my children need when their not in my presence and to me that’s worth more than GOLD.
I’d recommend this “Home away from home” to any and everyone even if it’s out of their way. Nothing is worth more then my children’s happiness and well being.

My child attended this Learning Center and was repeatedly hurt by other children with no disciplinary action by the teachers or staff. Very high-class school and don't get me wrong my daughter learned a lot but some things for swept under the rug, that shouldn't be. Left a review a few months ago the owner of the center Brenda said she would contact me to discuss the situation I left her my number in since there has been no contact made no attempts made nothing
I was that crazy mother-to-be and toured 7 daycares around Powell before my child arrived into this world. My husband and I selected Big Hearts Little Hands due to the love and devotion the owner, Brenda, has for the center. As she took me on a tour of each room, children of various ages were smiling and approaching her for hugs. That right there did me in :).
My daughter started in the infant room at Big Hearts Little Hands when she was 12 weeks old. She is now 2.5 years old and thriving. The teachers provide so much support and guidance from an emotional and developmental standpoint. My daughter loves to attend school. We love BHLHs so much that our second child will begin in the infant room soon, with the same teachers my daughter had over 2 years ago.

My child attended this center, and came to me one morning and begged for me not to take her back. then proceeded to tell me that another student was repeatedly biting her EVERYDAY. I then said, did you tell the teachers? she said YES.....THEY told her that's what she gets!!!! there was no discipline nothing and NOT ONE THING was brought to our attention. I proceeded to call the owner of the company, she told me that she was too busy to listen to my concerns and that she will call me back in a few hours at her convenience. Now that's professional, need i say MORE? Big Pockets little morals..
Just beware, I believe any childcare will not be 100% safe, there always bad kids, teachers, parents and owners.
Now in response to what Miss Opperman, Hayden's mom is speaking about, of course you only see it from the parents perspective but when your wife is a teacher there in your child is also attending that school, you see the cover-ups just like the teacher that got caught drinking in the baby room?...ya so tell me again miss opperman....call me a lier again? Because you dont know me or what HAPPENED,,,,,,,,,,Cause 'the owner" would NEVER say she can't speak about something like that. I'M leaving MY review, you seem more less defending the center and OWNER.
And just food for thought, if miss Opperman you are SO pleased with that center and the OWNER after your children being there for a year, why are you just now deciding to leave a review ?? shouldn't you have done that a while ago? when you are so pleased about the way everything was running, why does it take my negative review for you to ALL OF A sudden you pop up to defend the center over a negative review? You're not even leaving a review, you're just defending a negative review

Both of our children attend here and I felt the need to post my review based on the previous review. My youngest was bit only one time and not only did the teacher show me the mark but I also signed an incident report and got an apology (it isn't the teacher's fault if another child bites- you cannot control small children and their impulse behaviors) Other than that we have had nothing but absolutely positive experiences! Brenda, the owner (which if the original poster actually called her he would know that and she would NEVER say she didn't have time to listen) is absolutely amazing. She works so closely with all of the teachers and children that they all love her. She has never once dismissed a concern or question of ours and is actually the opposite- she has had some very in depth conversations with us which is e appreciate so much. The teachers are all like family- the only one we didn't particularly care for is now gone from the school. We feel truly blessed to have our children go here (and they previously went to a different daycare in Dublin so our opinion isn't based on daycare ignorance). Having worked in daycares before, finding teachers who are this loving and warm can be rare. Thank you BHLH!!!
