Please join us in congratulating Ms. Kayla on being awarded Teacher of the Month for the month of February! Stepping into a new classroom is no small feat, yet Kayla has done so with remarkable grace and confidence. From day one, she has taken charge of the classroom environment, creating a space where every student feels seen and supported. Kayla is the definition of kindness and patience. Her ability to remain calm and focused on the best interests of her students has earned her the respect of her peers and the adoration of her class. Kayla has worked in childcare for 3 years and has been at Big Hearts for 5 months. If Kayla didn’t work in childcare, she would pursue a job in beauty or fashion. Thank you for all you do, Ms. Kayla!! ... See MoreSee Less

Learning

At Big Hearts Little Hands, the child comes first. We take pride in not only providing for their physical and emotional needs, but for their developmental needs as well. Our curriculum was created for its balance between both teacher-directed and child-initiated learning. It is our goal to help the children develop the passion for learning that they will carry with them throughout their life.  Big Hearts Little Hands uses a weekly theme based curriculum that is designed to foster social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development and to enhance learning in literacy, math, science, social studies, and the arts.  This allows the teachers to plan and implement a developmentally appropriate, content-rich program for children of all backgrounds and skill levels that is constantly matching the interests of the students. Please be sure to look for the weekly lesson plans hanging in the classrooms.
